Charles Herbert Woolery (March 16, 1941 – November 23, 2024) was an American game show host, talk show host, and musician. He was born in Ashland, Kentucky.

He attended both the University of Kentucky and Morehead State University but dropped out of both.

Woolery served in the U.S. Navy. He was the original host of Wheel of Fortune (1975–1981), the original version of Love Connection (1983–1994), Scrabble (1984–1990, and during a brief revival in 1993), Greed on Fox from 1999 to 2000, and Lingo on Game Show Network from 2002 to 2007.^[1] He coined the phrase "two and two" (two minutes and two seconds), the length of a TV commercial break.^[2]

Woolery was a Republican and born-again Christian.

He credited his faith for getting him through the death of his son, Chad, one of his three children with first wife Margaret Hayes. He had a daughter with second wife Jo Ann Pflug and two sons with third wife Teri Nelson.
