Pratibha Devisingh Patil (born 19 December 1934), also known as Pratibha Patil Shekhawat,[1][2] is an Indian politician and lawyer who served as the 12th president of India from 2007 to 2012.

Early life
Patil was born in a Marathi family[3][4] on 19 December 1934 in the village of Nadgaon in Jalgaon, Maharashtra.
She was the daughter of Narayan Rao Patil.[5] She was educated initially at R. R.
